Video Conglomeration: My Week Without Kids

My one week with both kids away this summer, is over.

Given that I use "my kids" as my biggest excuse for not being able to "focus" (and trust me when I say, they are always distracting me) -- I had planned to get a lot of SAT work done during those few, precious days when they were both away.

No idea if that really happened; it's all a big blur now.

I can say this for sure:

  • I did do my Kumon every day.
  • I had more IQ and Assessment tests (so interesting).
  • No idea if I improved on the SAT front.
  • The SATs are WAY harder than I'd ever imagined.

You know how they say "10,000 till mastery?" I'm thinking that's about right.  How many hours are there in a year?

That a great video, oh my god you have so many copies of Sat book ? Can I have one ?… joking.  How many books/and supplies do you  have?
I 'm also curious if you Score a 2400 on the Sat, will you take the Act as well ? you must be mentally drained. i'm using the Blue Book, but I've got about 200 pages to  finish and I'm lazy.
    Happy Studying.

      If the truth be told:
1 of those Blue Books is my son's
A lot of those books were sent to me by friends in publishing (I used to work in book publishing so everyone sends me SAT books).  But I am a total book nut and many were purchased -- and I buy WAY too many books, as a rule.
Not mentally drained (yet). Well, at the moment I am, but not usually. ;)

Strangely, I have NO interest in the ACT.  I can't explain it, but, but for some reason, not a lick of curiosity. Maybe that will change.

I have another Question, Do you Know where I can get the Explanation for the Math Section? I've tried Khan Academy and I don't like it he makes the exercises even more convoluted.
    Thanks for the Help!!

Here's where you should try first:  http://qa.pwnthesat.com/ask

Also, here are the College Board solutions: https://satonlinecourse.collegeboard.com/SR/home/bookOwnerArea.do  They don't help me too much though ;(
If you don't understand those, I have the Tutor Ted Book http://www.amazon.com/Tutor-Teds-SAT-Solutions-Manual/dp/1450516505/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1312855524&sr=8-1
as well as the Klass Book http://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-SAT-Supplement-KlassTutoring-solutions/dp/1439267545/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1312855555&sr=8-1

      Sometimes they help.

Also, try Googling the exact problem.  You can come up with it that way.

And if you're really desperate, you can ask me ;)

Ironic that you should mention tutor Ted's Book …. I'd get but it's for the most Recent edition of the Blue book.
